Goa, with its sparkling beaches, smiling faces, lush tropical vegetation, magnificent Baroque architecture, centuries-old culture and excellent restaurants is beautiful - but too many people think so during the holiday season! We have a VERY PRIVATE Luxury Villa, fully staffed, with a 23 metre swimming pool set in 3 acres of lush garden, available to rent mid-December to mid-January, and at Easter. Only 500 metres from the beach, and despite being truly away from the crowds, it is only 20 minutes drive from centres of shopping, restaurants and entertainment such as Panjim and Calangute. Cars are provided. Quinta de Halicarnassus, in North Goa, has 5 double bedrooms each with en suite bathroom, a vast downstairs drawing room with dining room on the verandah, and another sitting room on the first floor. It offers the perfect holiday. And Goa, on the west coast of India, has not been affected by the tragic tsunami. There are direct Charter Flights from airports in the UK and Europe, OR it is an easy flight to Bombay (Mumbai), and from there just an hour on Domestic airlines. Prices range from Pounds Sterling 4,900 a week from 16 to 23 December and from 6 to 13 January, and from Pounds Sterling 6,300 a week from 23 December to 6 January. Minimum rental period during this season: two weeks. Any extra days on a pro rata basis. At Easter, the rate is Pounds Sterling 2,940, with a minimum rental period of one week.
